About Me

Krawczynski-Nellie_edited.jpg

I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from Capital University and my master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from Cleveland State University. I am a licensed independent social worker with a supervisory designation. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma therapist, and I’m certified in eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).

My area of specialty is working with those with PTSD and big “T” trauma histories, including sexual, physical, verbal abuse; sexual assault, and domestic violence. And small “t” trauma histories that result from impactful incidences. I also counsel those suffering from depression, anxiety, addiction, grief issues, adjustment difficulties, and spiritual trauma.

I felt a profound calling to do this work after having experienced significant events within my family and my subsequent healing through counseling and people of faith. I began my career serving some of the poorest neighborhoods of Cleveland doing Crisis intervention counseling with those who had suffered significant trauma and I’ve since worked in community agencies, outpatient hospital settings, and private practice for 17 years.

Cooperating with God’s grace, I later returned to school to earn a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Heart of Christ/Avila Institute School of Spiritual Formation to better serve the Catholic/Christian faithful.

I offer individual therapy and group work for adults ages 18 through 65+

(unfortunately I do not counsel children/minors)
